Resolutions

Been looking at resolutions, never can make my mind up whether to set any or not, I like these, how about you?

To tolerate fools more gladly, provided this does not encourage them to take up more of my time.
James Agate

Enjoy the little things.

If you have the power to make someone happy, do it. The world needs more of that.

Dear God, my prayer for 2014 is a fat bank account and a thin body. Please don't mix these up like you did this year.

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.
So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.
Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”

Neil Gaiman

“To make 2014 (or any other)your year, keep it simple:
1) Count your blessings first
2) Whatever you did last year, do it better
3) Go step by step, one day at a time.
4) Create/make your own opportunities.
5) Believe in your abilities at all times,
6) Quitting is not an option. Keep Going.
7) Finish what you started”

  1. At the moment my resolution is not to drink a whole bottle of champagne all bar one glass that I allowed David to have, followed by 2 Baileys = sore head this morning!

    1. I make plenty of mistakes too! lol! Taking back a whole Fair Isle panel in a headband I was making for my mum because of an early mistake is not one I want to repeat! Never mind, can do little bits of Fair Isle now, a new string to my bow!

Will try to stay in Blogland this year. :)
